How do people hear feel about DC's 52?

Have you read it, do you think it's worthwhile and do you care for the weekly format?

Personally, I've been fairly fond of both it, and the idea behind it (less of a simple crisis and more of covering an event-filled year in the aftermath of a big complex event).  I've also deeply liked the writing and some of the elements within, such as a "villain" (Black Adam) running a country to provide peace and prosperity for all.

I also like that the most important characters moving the circumstances seem to be some of the "lesser" characters, those that people don't automatically think of when they think of either superheroes or DC comics, such as the Elongated Man, Booster Gold, the Question and Renee Montoya (the new Question?), Batwoman, Steel, etc.

Anyhow, how do you all feel?

I'm personally enjoying it, but I don't know how I feel about them doing another weekly for another year. For that, I just feel like it's a ploy to get more money since 52 has been so successful for them. Yet, I admit we'll be adding Countdown to our list at the comic book shop.

I've been loving most of the story lines. Only a couple don't terribly interest me. I like the stuff with the lesser characters more than I thought I would, but at the same time, I still want to know how the major players get to the point where they pick up a year later and while we've had glimpses of Bruce, Diana, and Clark, I do hope those mysteries get cleared up, too.

When they killed Blue Beetle, I was out. Refused to pick up another DC book for white a while that wasn't Green Lantern. Matter of fact, Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps ae the only two DC books on my pull list any more! AND I'M THE HUGE DC FAN!!!

But they messed with my favorites. They messed with my Giffen Justice League characters! And I may never forgive them for that.

OH NOES! I've inadvertantly become one of those "Indie Snobs", the type of person who won't read stuff from Marvel or DC! I'm almost entirely Image and Boom!Comics now! WHAT HAVE I DONE?!?!?!

Gotta get to the comic shop... gotta add a few "Ultimate" titles to my pull list, STAT!

My whole feeling is that they can largely do whatever they want to characters as long as the story is well written. I can definitely say that since I was okay with both Oliver Queen and Hal Jordan dying, and they've long been my favorite characters.

Of course, that leads right into the other fact that Blue Beetle will likely not stay dead (this is, after all, comic books we're talking about). And I'd be lying if I didn't say I was thrilled to have my characters back.

That reminds me of a separate issue...better go post it.
